1921 Morgan Silver Dollar



The last and most plentiful dollar in the series is the 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar. This coin has a mintage of 44,690,000, by far the largest mintage of Morgan Dollars along with an estimated 250 Proof coins. There are other known proofs sometimes referred to as Chapman Proofs named after Henry Chapman. The value of these coins have been diminished due to the high volumes produced.

The 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar was the twenty-eighth and last coin in the Morgan Dollar series. It was minted in Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Denver. The mintages for this year are:

Philadelphia-44,690,000

Denver-20,345,000

San Francisco-21,695,000

There was no error coin produced this year. The 1921 Morgan Dollar in MS-67 condition has sold for as much as $15,000.
