The 1891-O Morgan Silver Dollar is one of the most inexpensive coins in the Morgan Dollar series. It has a mintage of 7,954,529. The 1891-O Morgan starts at about $100 as MS-60 and then is only worth around $7,000 to $8,000 in MS-65. The lack of value is due to the poor strike and quality of the coin. Some decent 1891-O Dollars can be discovered, but it will take some looking. VAM-1A features an incredibly strong clashed E on the reverse of the Morgan Dollar. This variety is often discovered as an Almost Uncirculated coin, making it that much more valuable if one is found in uncirculated condition, which is a very rare find.
