The 1890 Morgan Silver Dollar was another not so great year for the Morgan Dollar. With a mintage of 16,802,000, there are plenty of dollars to go around, but the quality of the majority of the coins is poor. The proofs of this year are only slightly better. There is really no standout die varieties or VAMs of this year, unfortunately. In MS-60 condition, the 1890 Morgan goes for about $30 and then around $25,000 in MS-66. The 1890 Proof Morgan Dollar is worth over $1,000 as PF-60 and then jumps up to just shy of $40,000 as PF-68.
