The 1886 Morgan Silver Dollar





The 1886 Morgan Silver Dollar was the ninth coin struck in the Morgan Dollar set. It was minted in Philadelphia, San Francisco, and New Orleans. This was the first year that the Morgan Dollar was not minted in Carson City. The mintages for this year are:

New Orleans-10,710,000

Philadelphia-19,963,886

San Francisco-750,000

There were no special production or error coins for this year. The 1886-0 graded as MS-65 condition can be worth up to $200,000.
