Only 1,530,000 1902-S Morgan Silver Dollars were struck. Many of the coins have marks from being in the bags. Finding higher grade 1902-S Silver Dollars could be challenging. Due to a lower mintage than that of most Morgans, the 1902-S has a higher value. In MS-60, coins are worth around $400, as MS-66, the 1902-S can be about $8,000 and then at $30,000+ in MS-67.

The 1902-O Morgan Silver Dollar is generalized as a bad year for the Morgan Dollar series. It is known for a weak strike along with a pretty ugly and unattractive luster. With a lot of looking, it is possible to find decent, well struck coins of the 8,636,000 minted for this date. One well known coin is the 1902-O VAM-3 Morgan Silver Dollar, it is known for a tilted "micro" O mintmark. The 1902-O Morgan Dollar is a low value coin worth about $30 in MS-60, near $700 at MS-66, and then up to about $13,000 in MS-67.

1902-P Uncirculated Morgan Silver Dollar

The 1902 Morgan Dollar is on the easier side to come by of Morgan Dollars. It was minted as 7,994,000 circulation coins and then as 777 proof coins. The strike is good for most of the 1902 dollars, but the luster lacks. The proof coins are not good at all, with most strikes below average quality. The 1902 VAM-4 can be very difficult to find and is known for a doubled Lady Liberty ear and an extra olive touching the other olive on the branch. The 1902 Silver  Dollar in MS-60 is about $40-$50 and goes up to just shy of $7,000 as MS-67.

There was no error coin produced this year. The 1902-S Morgan Dollar in MS-67 condition has sold for as much as $21,500.
