1921 Morgan Silver Dollar

The last and most plentiful dollar in the series is the 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar. The quality of these coins is weak, with poor strikes and okay luster. This coin has a mintage of 44,690,000, by far the largest mintage of Morgan Dollars along with close to only 30 Proof coins. There are other known proofs sometimes referred to as Chapman Proofs named after Henry Chapman. There are VAMs for collecting of this year, far too many to name, many have pitting on the reverse of the coin. The VAM-4, VAM-13, VAM-41, and VAM-44 are among the most recognized of these coins. Due to the rarity of Chapman Proofs, the value is significantly higher, around $18,000 as PF-60 and $100,000 as PF-66. The 1921 Morgan Dollar is worth about $25 in MS-60 and $13,000 as MS-67.
