The 1896-O Morgan Silver Dollar is a consistent poor quality coin in the series. The strike is not very nice, luster is bad, and they come with many marks on them. It is one of the hardest Morgan Dollars to find a gem Mint State for, however, finding a nice Almost Uncirculated coin is easy to come by and are worth a few hundred dollars. The 1896-O VAM-4 is the mirco O mintmark that is tilted to the right. The 1896-O Morgan is worth about $1,000 to $1,500 as an MS-60, while if found in MS-65 or MS-66, it can be worth about $180,000 up to around $350,000.
